5주
이번주에는 최종 작품을 위해 판화 작업을 시작하였습니다.

1. 트레이싱지와 먹지를 이용해서 숙제로 해오신 스케치를 다듬고 고무판에 옮겨 그렸습니다.
2. 판화에 새겨진 이미지는 좌우가 뒤바뀌게 되어있습니다. 이점을 고려하시어 트래이싱지에 옮겨 그린 이미지를 뒤집은 후 먹지를 아래에 대고 좌우가 바뀐 이미지를 고무판에 옮겨 그리셔야합니다.
3. 전체 화면에서 검은 잉크로 나올 부분과 흰 종이로 남겨질 부분의 조화와 대비를 미리 고려하시어 양각으로 팔부분, 음각으로 팔부분, 배경의 처리, 가장자리 라인의 처리 등을 미리 결정하셨습니다.
4. 조각칼을 잡지 않은 손이 조각칼이 진행되는 방향의 앞에 놓이지 않도록 주의하십시요.
다음주에는 판을 찍어보면서 세부를 다듬을 것입니다.

Week 5
On this week we began to work on carving linoleum.
1. Using tracing paper and transfer paper, students transferred sketch onto linoleum.
2. Image on linoleum will be reversed when you print the image on paper. That is why students have to trace image onto tracing paper first and then flip the tracing paper to make image reversed. And then they transfer this reversed image onto linoleum using transfer paper.
3. Be mindful to plan where to carve and where to leave, which will determine where would be black(ink) and where would be white(paper).
4. Please do not put your supporting hand in front of carving knife.
On next class, after finishing carving we will work on printing to check and work on details .
