Printmaking Club – Linocut Enthusiasts – Week 9– May 2024

Summer is approaching, and our Printmaking Workshop will take a break during the warm days. Nobody wants to be inside. In June, we will have our last session. We have a lot of reasons to celebrate. We have accomplished many goals during these sessions. From simple lines and sketches to complex images rich in color and exciting composition. During the May 19th session, we certainly accomplished a variety of skills. By the end of the session, we all had at least one multicolor print to be proud of. Some of those prints made it to the wall, as they say. Our program has a small space within the Education Department Annual exhibition for the first time. Congratulations Everyone! We have our prints there.

We look forward to our last session to celebrate the end of another Printmaking Workshop.

I want to thank everyone for being part of this beautiful journey. Every month, we have gathered to learn and experiment with printing. This experience has created a strong bond among us, which I truly appreciate!

Se acerca el verano y nuestro Taller de Grabado hará una pausa durante los días cálidos. Nadie quiere estar dentro. En junio tendremos nuestra última sesión. Tenemos muchos motivos para celebrar. Hemos alcanzado los objetivos propuestos durante estas sesiones. Desde líneas y bocetos simples hasta imágenes complejas ricas en color y composiciones interesantes. Durante la sesión del 19 de mayo, combinamos lo aprendido dunrante el taller. Al final de la clase, todos teníamos al menos un grabado multicolor del cual estar orgullosos. Algunos de nuestros grabados estan expuestos. Nuestro programa cuenta por primera vez con un pequeño espacio dentro de la Exposición Anual del Departamento de Educación. ¡Felicitaciones a todos!

Esperamos con ansias nuestra última sesión para celebrar el final de otro Taller de Grabado.

Quiero agradecer a todos por ser parte de este Taller. Cada mes nos reunimos para aprender y experimentar con Grabado. ¡Esta experiencia ha creado un fuerte vínculo entre nosotros.
