This time, our class was not on a rainy day, which surprised most of us. Although we enjoyed
the dry weather for once. As we progressed in our printmaking workshop, we improved the
technique. For the February session, we spent the time inking and printing. We have gotten
better at inking and following the instructions of our educator. We used the right amount of ink.
We had been printing using black ink, but this time, we used other colors. We made prints on
colored paper as well as white paper.
Michelle also mentioned that while carving the plate is satisfying, we should focus on using
the printing press. We can carve anywhere, but we can only print in the studio. We had the
opportunity of centering the plate on the paper, and we are getting better at it. Our instructor
mentioned that we need to learn the registration process very well before moving to the next

Esta vez nuestra clase no fue en un día lluvioso, lo cual nos sorprendió. Aunque no Podemos
negar que disfrutamos del clima. A medida que avanzamos en nuestro taller de Grabado,
mejoramos en la técnica. Esta vez dedicamos toda la clase a entintar e imprimir. Hemos
mejorado al entintar, siguiendo las instrucciones de nuestra educadora. Estamos usando la
cantidad adecuada de tinta.
Habíamos estado imprimiendo con tinta negra, pero esta vez utilizamos otros colores. Sacamos
copias tanto en papel de colores como en papel blanco.
Michelle también mencionó que, si bien tallar la placa de linóleo es muy satisfactorio,
deberíamos centrarnos en utilizar la prensa ya que podemos tallar en cualquier lugar, pero sólo
podemos imprimir en el estudio. Tuvimos la oportunidad de centrar la placa sobre el papel y
estamos mejorando en ello. Nuestra instructora nos dijo que debemos aprender el processo de
registro muy bien antes de pasar al siguiente tema, que es: “Impresión a dos colores”.
