La clase de sábado, 22 de junio de 2019 en la Biblioteca Corona, comenzó con una configuración rápida. Los estudiantes tomaron una paleta, tres pinceles de diferentes tamaños, un recipiente de agua, y un trozo de toalla de papel ademas de recuperar la imagen anterior en la que estaban trabajando como referencia. El comienzo de la clase no requería brindar muchas explicaciones, ya que los estudiantes estaban trabajando para terminar su paisaje marino de la clase pasada. Asi, pudieron agregar detalles hechos con pinceles finos para que el primer plano cobrara vida con nitidez.
Después de un espacio de tiempo de 45 minutos que usaron para terminar su paisaje marino, los estudiantes regresaron al formato de tarjeta postal. Con este formato los alumnos se involucraron en una nueva propuesta de pintura. Esta vez, la pintura fue un paisaje, de su elección. La intencion del formato pequeno es que esta pequeña pieza funcione como un boceto para la siguiente pintura. Asi, los participantes pueden practicar creando paletas de colores cálidos y elegir diseños antes de hacer la versión más grande. El ejercicio no pretendio durar más de 15 minutos.
Los estudiantes trabajaron posrteriormente en una propuesta mas grande. Actividad que tomo hasta el final de la clase, y continuarán en la siguiente.

The Class of Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Corona Library, started with a quick set up. The students would grab a mixing tray, a paint tray, three different size brushes, water container, a piece of paper towel, the previous image they were working on, and their picture references. The beginning of the class did not require much explanation, since the students were working on finishing their previous seascape. Detail brushes were added this time, with the purpose of giving opportunity for the foreground to come alive with sharpness.
After a maximum of 45 minutes to finishing their seascape, the students return to the postcard format. With this format the students engage in a new painting. This time the painting is a landscape, from their choice of the landscape references I have provided. This small piece will work as a sketch for the next painting. Here they get to practice their warm color pallets, and choose designs before making the bigger version. The exercise is not meant to last more than 15 minutes.
The students now engage on the bigger version of their new design. They work on it, until the end of class, and will continue on the next.
