In this class, the participants have brought in ideas and subjects for their books and have all chosen the size and orientation for their final project.  We learned the way in which we will be binding the book.  To make sure the alignment of the pages are correct, and none of the imageries will be lost, we will need to leave a ½”–1” margin on the binding side. During this class, we also have a brief color study on monochromatic layering and creating a painting using the same constant hue.

這個禮拜學員們選好自己想要製作書的內容和尺寸。這次課程我們學會將書籍如何裝訂。為了確保圖畫裝訂後不會被遮蓋或切除，而且主要內容會呈現在書的中央，學員們必須留1/2”到1”的白邊在裝訂的部分。今天我們也示範如何用同一色系來創作。利用不同的層次和色彩的調配，同一色系的圖像可以很明亮，色彩也不容易混濁。記得如果不要每一層的色彩被混合，一定要等水彩乾後再加上下一層的顏料。一旦在半乾的水彩上加水，水彩會溶解在新加的水裡，創造出另一種紋路。
