Segunda Clase,  17/03/18

La clase empezó con un ejerecicio de calentamiento usando la mano que no es dominante. Es decir, los diestros debían usar la mano izquierda y los zurdos debían usar la mano derecha.

En papel Newprint, los estudiantes dibujaron con lápiz 3H (Hard):

Círculos, Ovalos, Líneas horizontales y Líneas Verticales.

El tema del día fue el Bodegón.

Teniendo en cuenta el espacio en el papel, es decir la composición, los estudiantes dibujaron 4 bodegones diferentes que estaban puestos en las mesas. El ejercicio tuvo como objetivo adquirir la experiencia de como dibujar objetos diferentes teniendo en cuenta la textura (transparecia)/opacidad) y ubicacion (vertical/horizontal). Poco a poco los estudiantes debian añadir los detalles.

Se usa el lápiz 3H para hacer los bocetos iniciales con lineas suaves es decir sin ejercer presion al dibujar las lineas. Las zonas de sombra son las partes que se van oscureciendo mas adelante dentro del proceso del dibujo.

También es importante dibujar lo que se está viendo, tratando de visualizar las formas geometricas en los objetos.

La mano es un compás natural que se puede utilizar para hacer óvalos y curvas mas facilmente. Es bueno acomodar el papel en la direccion mas cómoda para hacer las curvas.

Hay dos clases de sombra:

La sombra propia, que es la que está en el objeto mismo. Y la sombra proyectada que es la que produce el objeto.

De vez en cuando el estudiante debe levantarse y mirar lo que están dibujando los compañeros.

 

 

Second Session: 3/17/18
15 min. – Introduction to the still life class is given. Drawing warm-up exercises are performed, to stimulate the left side of the brain, and creativity.
5 min. – Review of previous class, techniques, and preparation for the art-making process. A small demonstration of the use of the new pencils is provided and still lives are chosen.
45 min. – After instructions and samples, the students engage in their drawings and still lives. I visit each student during this span of time.
25 min. –At this time the students have the option of starting a new drawing of the same or change their seats for a new composition.
25 min. – On these last 25 minutes, the students put away their art and start a new Piece using compressed and loose charcoal. They have the option of using real life or create a new composition.
5 min. – During the last 5 minutes, the students perform clean-up.
