During this class we worked with plaster bandage to do body cast. The students watch the demo in how to use the material, after that they use their own bodies as molds and they did a sculpture that came out of their hand shapes. They worked in pairs, one being the model and other the one applying the material then shifting positions. Nice hands sculptures came out of the assignment!  We also analyzed all the pieces made during the first two classes in which students used an object and then their body’s to make imprints analyzing the different techniques and depending of the project which one to choose from.

Durante esta aula nós trabalhamos com ataduras de gesso para fazer molde do corpo. Os estudantes assistiram a demonstração para saber como manipular o material. Eles usaram o própio corpo como molde e usaram a própia forma da mão para fazer uma escultura. Eles trabalharam em pares, um sendo o modelo e o outro aplicando o material, depois trocaram as funções. Esculturas bem interessantes surgiram do exercício.  Nós também olhamos para  as esculturas feitas nas duas aulas anteriores nas quais alunos usaram  um objetos e depois o corpo para moldar em argila, analizando as diferentes técnicas e dependendo do projeto, qual apresenta melhor resultado.
